my approach

I'm a brand strategist  

who fell into startups. 

With 9 years of experience in brand marketing, I'm a trained brand strategist who fell into the world of tech startups during the pre-pandemic tech boom. At the time, I was a full time team member at The Mom Complex, a boutique brand consultancy firm based in Richmond, VA. They brought me in to work on the launch of a new technology vertical within the company. I fell in love with the process of building new tech products, and the rest is history.

 

I have a master's degree in brand strategy from the VCU Brandcenter and a mix of experience consulting with agencies on quick-turn brand strategy sprints, and working directly with tech startups as a fractional marketing leader. My background in brand strategy is what makes me an exceptional marketer - while many Adland strategists struggle to jump from high brand strategy to marketing execution, I do both. Every recommendation is rooted in customer, cultural and competitive insight. But I work beyond the deck, to turn strategic direction into tangible marketing results.
